Mattel’s Strike ‘N Roar Giganotosaurus Unboxing & Review in 4K

By May 30, 2022Review

“Bigger… why do they always have to be bigger?” Mattel’s highly-anticipated mainline Giganotosaurus toy is finally here, and we’re ready to unbox and review Jurassic Wold Dominion’s villainous dino in all of it’s glory! The Strike ‘N Roar Giga scales with entire 3.75-inch scale range of Jurassic figures, meaning it can face-off against the various vehicles, dinosaurs and human characters — which we’ll illustrate with various comparisons during the review. Also on display: Giga’s somewhat decisive action features, which includes a violent thrashing motion paired with an electronic chomp. As a complete package, there’s actually a lot to love with Mattel’s take on Dominion’s big baddie! Watch the full video above and sound off in the comments with your thoughts on Strike ‘N Roar Giganotosaurus.

I get what they were going for here even if it does limit the figure to be so dominated by its’ own gimmick. Maybe doing the tail puppet gimmick we’ve seen in a lot of larger figures would have gone over better? I had really wanted an Extreme Chompin style Indominus Rex with more articulation and no electronics or gimmicks, which we never got, so I won’t hold my breath for an Extreme Chompin Giga. Not expecting a Hammond Collection version either, so it’s either accept the gimmick or else go without a proper-size Giga.
