New Dino Rivals Fall 2019 4K Unboxing & Review

By September 6, 2019Review

With so many new Mattel Jurassic figures releasing these past few weeks, it must be time for another Collect Jurassic video review! This time we’re unboxing the latest-Dino Rivals toys: Amargasaurus, Triceratops, Dimorphodon, Mononykus and Velociraptor Echo. It’s quit the lineup, and as usual we’ll be taking an in-depth look at each figure in ultra-HD 4K definition both in and out of the box. All-new species like Amargasaurus and Mononykus make their stunning debuts with excellent sculpt and paint detail. While a repaint of an earlier Dual Attack figure, the grey/blue Triceratops “2.0” might just steal the show with it’s throwback vintage deco that feels like the most film-accurate take on the dinosaur yet.

Check out the full review in the video above, and don’t forget to visit our YouTube channel where you can watch the rest of our 4K toy reviews!

Pretty happy with my Amargasaurus and red Dimorphodon! The Amarga squeaks when I use the neck attack button more than a couple times at once, though.

I ordered Mononykus off Amazon but they delayed the shipment two weeks so I’m still waiting on it. I want the grey Trike but I know if I wait I can get it for less than $15 – Amazon cut prices on the Roarivore Trike last year and the green Trike earlier this year. Triceratops is not a super in-demand species so the discount is inevitable. As for Echo, definitely the figure I’m least interested in of the five. Delta’s incorrect paint scheme making it look very similar to Echo and the crouching raptor mold lacking versatility are my issues. Not getting it unless I see a discount.

I got Echo just to complete the set, but why Mattel opted to re-use the crouching Raptor sculpt for her is beyond me. Maybe we’ll get a more neutral sculpt and posture, eventually.

Can’t wait to score these. Not seen them yet at any retailers near me but I’m on the lookout.
